Kenny Rogers Quits Building Dream House

Kenny Rogers has halted construction on his dream house in a high-end neighborhood near Atlanta, leaving behind a construction site on the 7.5-acre property that was once home to a two-story house surrounded by trees. Rogers purchased the land for $2.3 million in 2005 and is now listing it for $3.95 million. His neighbors have complained in a story in the Atlanta Journal Constitution about the property being left in disarray. Rogers apologized in the newspaper article, then added, "You can't live your life for other people." Rogers said he felt the home would be too large for his wife and twin sons if something should happen. Instead, the family will live in the Buckhead neighborhood in a home they were using while the dream house was being built.
