Josh Turner to Become Opry Member

Josh Turner will be inducted as the Grand Ole Opry's newest member during ceremonies on Oct. 27 in Nashville. Opry member Roy Clark extended the invitation Saturday night (Sept. 29), and Vince Gill will host Turner's formal induction as a member of the long-running radio show. "I made my Opry debut back in 2001," Turner told Clark. "I never knew this could happen so early. And if this is an invitation, I say yes!" Turner gained national acclaim with the release of his platinum debut album, Long Black Train. His second album, Your Man, received double-platinum certification and contained two multi-week No. 1 singles, "Would You Go With Me" and the title track. His new album, Everything Is Fine, will be released on Oct. 30.
