Randy Houser Bus Fire Destroys Equipment, Clothing and Personal Items

Randy Houser, his band and his crew lost their music gear, clothing and personal belongings in a bus fire on Wednesday afternoon (March 9), prior to a performance in Isle of the Palms, S.C. Nobody was hurt in the fire which apparently began in the rear suite of the bus and caused smoke to infiltrate the corridor and main cabin. Houser sent a note to his manager that read, "Fire is out. Lost all my clothes. I'm pretty sad, but so thankful we all got off safely. That fire burned all through our home on wheels." According to Houser's website, he plans to perform the Wednesday night concert at the Windjammer club. The show, which also features Sunny Sweeney, Frankie Ballard and others, is a benefit for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. His next tour date is scheduled for March 18 in Bradenton, Fla. Houser's hits include "Anything Goes," "Boots On" and "Whistlin' Dixie."
