Luke Bryan will headline the 10th annual CMT on Tour kicking off in September with special guests Lee Brice and Josh Thompson.

Specific cities and dates have not been announced for CMT on Tour: Luke Bryan Tailgates and Tanlines, but it will include approximately 25 shows to support Bryan's third studio album for Capitol Records Nashville, Tailgates & Tanlines, due in stores August 9. His latest single, "Country Girl (Shake It for Me)," has already climbed to No. 13 on the Billboard country chart to become his fastest-rising single to date.

CMT on Tour launched in 2002 and has featured top acts such as Trace Adkins, Jason Aldean, Randy Houser, Jamey Johnson, Miranda Lambert, Brad Paisley, Rascal Flatts, Sugarland and Keith Urban.

"It's all about having fun onstage with the band and giving our fans a night of entertainment," Bryan said. "I certainly am following in good footsteps of the other artists who have had the opportunity to headline a CMT tour. I'm really anxious to get started!"

The Georgia native teamed with the Doobie Brothers during a Wednesday night (June 1) taping of a CMT Crossroads episode set to premiere June 24. He's scheduled for his first main-stage performance during the 2011 CMT Music Awards airing live from Nashville on Wednesday (June 8). He'll also serve as a presenter on the show. He's nominated in two categories -- best web video of the year (for "It's a Shore Thing") and the Nationwide Insurance On Your Side Award for best new live act.

At the 2010 CMT Music Awards, he received the USA Weekend breakthrough video of the year award for "Do I." He was also named the Academy of Country Music's top new artist and top new solo vocalist for 2009.

Bryan's debut album, I'll Stay Me, was released in 2007 and included the Billboard Top 10 hits "All My Friends Say" and "Country Man." He followed it up with 2009's Doin' My Thing, which included "Do I," another Top 10 single. The project also featured "Rain Is a Good Thing," which became Bryan's first No. 1 single in 2010, and "Someone Else Calling You Baby," which topped the chart earlier this year. Bryan co-wrote all of the hits.

In addition to his two full-length albums, Bryan has released a series of EPs to coincide with spring break -- 2009's Spring Break With All My Friends, 2010's Spring Break 2 ... Hangover Edition and 2011's Spring Break 3 ... It's a Shore Thing.

Three-time ACM nominee Lee Brice released his debut album, Love Like Crazy, on Curb Records in 2010. The title track reached the Top 5 and was named Billboard's No. 1 country song of 2010. It currently holds the record for the longest-charting song in the history of the trade publication's country songs chart. "Love Like Crazy" is nominated for USA Weekend breakthrough video of the year honor at the 2011 CMT Music Awards. As a songwriter, his work has been recorded by Garth Brooks, Tim McGraw and others. Brice is on the road this summer on the Country Throwdown tour with Willie Nelson, Randy Houser and Jamey Johnson.

Singer-songwriter Josh Thompson's Columbia Nashville debut album, Way Out Here, was released in 2010, debuted in Billboard's country Top 10 and earned critical praise from the national media. He wrote or co-wrote all 10 tracks on the album, including his current single, "Won't Be Lonely Long," which follows his previous hits, "Way Out Here" and "Beer on the Table." The blue-collar road warrior played more than 240 shows last year ranging from headlining club dates to sold-out arenas with Brad Paisley. He is currently nominated for the Nationwide Insurance On Your Side Award for best new live act at next week's CMT Music Awards.
