You know that feeling you get when you’re watching the season finale of American Idol and Ryan Seacrest is standing there with the last two contestants and it feels like time has literally stopped and you’re barely breathing because of the anticipation and you’re trying to read Seacrest’s body language? Well, if it feels like that to you, then imagine how it feels to be on that stage. The Tennessean newspaper in Nashville reports what it felt like for Scotty McCreery during that 12-second pause after Seacrest began by saying, “The winner of American Idol Season 10 is … .” McCreery says, “Oh, that sucks. It really does. Ryan is the king of making your heart stop. He’s a cool dude, though. But really, it’s not a good feeling.” Except that he won. Which probably made that heart-stopping feeling suck a little less.
