Owen invited Buchanan onstage during his performance of "Don't Think I Can't Love You," then asked her to marry him, according to People. However, Owen did not have a ring, although he downplayed the fact by quoting a lyric from the song: "I just said I can't buy you a big diamond ring or a big old house on the hill, but I promise you I'll love you forever and ever and ever." The next day, he tweeted, "I'm a happy man. Life is complete."
