Blake Shelton and Luke Bryan were recently announced as co-hosts for the 2013 ACM Awards in Las Vegas, and while the two stars are known for their healthy senses of humor, there might be a bit of a rivalry heating up.

"I'm hoping to use this opportunity, co-hosting with this person, to completely disrupt and derail this person's career," said Shelton, with a characteristically straight face.

For his part, Bryan thinks the Academy of Country Music made the right call in choosing him.

"Someone who will help pick Blake up," muses Bryan. "Keep the show rolling for when it may be slipping away from him. So, good job ACM."

The 2013 ACM Awards air April 7 at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.
