John Denver Tribute Album Due April 2

A tribute album to singer-songwriter John Denver will be released on April 2 by ATO Records. The project includes new recordings from Brandi Carlile and Emmylou Harris (“Take Me Home, Country Roads”), Old Crow Medicine Show (“Back Home Again”) and Train (“Sunshine on My Shoulders”), among many others. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Wilderness Society. In addition to “Back Home Again,” Denver’s No. 1 country hits include “Thank God I’m a Country Boy” and “I’m Sorry.” Denver, the CMA’s entertainer of the year in 1975, died in a plane crash in 1997.
