OFFSTAGE: Lauren Alaina and Kimberly Perry Nostalgic Over Keepsakes

(CMT Offstage keeps a 24/7 watch on everything that's happening with country music artists behind the scenes and out of the spotlight.)

Lauren Alaina has a 67-year-old doll. Kimberly Perry has a 66-year-old locket. And Josh Turner has a 96-year-old pocket watch. Those are a few of the vintage keepsakes country stars revealed to People magazine in its special country issue. Alaina's doll belonged to her late grandmother. "The doll is about 67 years old, and it's turning colors because it's so old," she said, adding that she refuses to part with it. And the locket Perry loves came from her grandfather, who gave it to her grandmother, and it still holds the picture that he put in it in 1947. "To know where you're going, you have to know where you've been," she told the magazine, "and this bracelet keeps me close to that." Turner said his pocket watch is one of the most special things he owns. And Mile Eli of the Eli Young Band cherishes his late grandfather's old handkerchief and told People he wore it on his wedding day.
