Toby Keith, Thomas Rhett Set Album Release Dates

Both Artists Plan New Projects for Oct. 29

Country stalwart Toby Keith and newcomer Thomas Rhett will both release new albums on Oct. 29.

Keith's Drinks After Work will be released by Show Dog Universal in two editions -- a 10-track standard album and a 13-track deluxe album. The title track is Keith's current single.

Among the three bonus tracks is "Chuckie's Gone," written in honor of Keith's late bandleader Chuck Goff, who died unexpectedly earlier this year.

"This album is dedicated in memory of Chuck Goff, our longtime bandleader-bass player," Keith says. "He will live on forever in our thoughts and in our performances. We miss ya, Shmudlo."

Meanwhile, Rhett's full-length debut album, It Goes Like This, is named for his current single which is approaching the Top 10 on Billboard's country airplay chart. The single has been certified gold by the RIAA.

The Valory Music Co. project also features "Something to Do With My Hands" and "Beer With Jesus," two of Rhett's past singles.

Rhett is currently touring with Jason Aldean. He will headline several club dates during release week, including Jacksonville, Fla. (Oct. 31), Atlanta (Nov. 1), Chicago (Nov. 2) and Minneapolis (Nov. 3).

"I'm so pumped to finally be releasing my first album," he says. "My music has evolved so much since I started making this record two and a-half years ago. and it's representative of all my experiences along the way ... the tours I've been on and the fans and friends I've made at our shows across the country. I'm very lucky that I've had the chance to experience so much and thankful for every moment. I just tried to pour it all into the songs we recorded."
