See, this is where I disagree with Faith Hill. She told People magazine the rumors of her divorce are perplexing. But what she needs to realize is that no one will ever believe you can be good-looking, successful and blissfully happy. People tend to think it's just not natural.

So after one of her recent shows at the Venetian in Las Vegas with her husband Tim McGraw, Hill told the magazine the divorce stories floating around out there were completely untrue.

"[Rumors] seem to be running like crazy right now for some reason," Hill said. "It's perplexing. I don't know why 'happy' can't be a story."

On top of all that insistence that their marriage was super solid, Hill and McGraw reportedly held hands during the interview.

"We've been married 17 years, and since the first week we were married, those things were out," McGraw added. "We don't even think about it. The only time we ever think about it is [when we] worry about the kids. But they've been around it, too, so they laugh it off."

Hill had divorced her first husband of six years -- music publishing executive Daniel Hill -- before she really got to know McGraw when she joined his Spontaneous Combustion tour in 1996. (She'd met McGraw briefly backstage at the annual Country Radio Seminar in Nashville in 1994 when they were part of the New Faces showcase with Toby Keith, Clay Walker and others.) And I remember Hill telling Larry King during an interview years ago that she knew McGraw was the one when they took the stage together.

"It's always been magic from the first time that we performed together onstage," she told King. "We fell in love on that tour and sang together night after night, and it was just beautiful."
