Will Blake Shelton Smell Revenge After Adam Levine's Prank?

Maroon 5 Frontman Has Cow Manure Dumped on Shelton's Truck During 'The Voice'

"The good news is my truck doesn't smell like weed anymore," Blake Shelton tweeted Tuesday (May 13) after Adam Levine escalated a practical joke by having two bulldozers dump cow manure on the country singer's red pickup truck during Monday's live broadcast of The Voice in Los Angeles.

The two judges/mentors on The Voice have a close friendship that extends to playing pranks on each other. The latest action was in retaliation after Shelton recently posted the Maroon 5 frontman's private phone number on Twitter.

"I thought I would return the favor," Levine said during a segment of the NBC series. "Why not pay him back a bit. ... That is cow dung. That is feces of animals."

"That's going to be a bad ride home for you tonight," The Voice host Carson Daly said.

"Shut up!" Shelton retorted as the studio audience laughed.

In other news, Shelton and wife Miranda Lambert will perform on the 2014 CMT Music Awards taking place June 4 at Nashville's Bridgestone Arena. The live telecast will also feature performances by Carrie Underwood, Eric Church, Florida Georgia Line and Luke Bryan.

Shelton is nominated for three awards, including male video of the year for "Doin' What She Likes." "Boys 'Round Here," featuring Pistol Annies and friends, is nominated for video of the year and collaborative video of the year.

The Oklahoma-born singer-songwriter recently partnered with Pizza Hut to promote the chain's new line of barbecue pizzas. In addition to a chicken pizza and a Hawaiian-themed item, one is named in his honor -- Blake's Smokehouse BBQ.
