Saying she hopes to make her concerts a special experience, she’s built her tour with a casual, anything-goes feel.
“I’m really excited about it,” Lambert told CMT Hot 20 Countdown. “I feel like Platinum, it’s a lifestyle kind of an album, and it’s a lifestyle kind of a feel. It kind of lends itself to gettin’ campy and tailgate-y, you know?
“I want people to do that,” she said. “I want ‘em to bring their flamingos and bikini tops and wear platinum wigs and be over the top. That’s OK with us.”
The superstar feels like she is coming into her own as an artist and a woman and says she’s excited about what the future holds.
“This, sort of, is setting me up for the next decade of my career and what’s to come and who I am as an artist now going forward,” she said.
The Certified Platinum tour will include stops in more than 30 cities with Justin Moore getting the party started, while Ashley Monroe, Sunny Sweeney, Danielle Bradbery and Raelynn are expected to make appearances at select dates as well.
