When The Band Perry Was The Band Scary

Trio Goes Down Halloween Memory Lane

The Band Perry’s Kimberly, Reid and Neil Perry are siblings. And like any close-knit family, they have fond memories of the Halloween costumes they wore as kids.

Fond, and very, very detailed. Like right down the the furry Frodo feet.

In a recent radio interview, Kimberly first says her favorite costume was the classic 50’s girl look: a pink poodle skirt, white turtle neck and saddle shoes. Reid’s favorite was when he was Jack Skellington, the skeleton who is usually decked out in a suit and bow tie.

“I painted my face white and even colored my hair white as well,” Reid recalls. “It did take a couple washes to get it out, but it was white hair.”

But for Neil, it was the year he went celebrated Halloween as the hobbit from The Lord of the Rings, Frodo Baggins.

“That was my favorite. I actually got fake fur and got double-sided tape and put it on my feet,” he said. “My feet really aren’t that furry.”

I have a pretty vivid imagination, but if anyone has a picture of Neil Perry’s Frodo, I’d love to see it.
