Carrie Underwood: "Trucks Though?"

Trucks Are Parked in Country for Good

Hillbilly things, am I right? Those are the very roots of country music. I mean, sure, occasionally an artist will take a different route, but according to Carrie Underwood, there will always be trucks on every rural route into this side of Music City.

In her cover story in the Decemeber issue of Cosmopolitan, she talks about whether or not the honkytonkin' stereotypes are true.

"If you talk to somebody who didn't grow up around (country music), they have the stereotype that it's hillbilly, that we're all singing about divorces, Mama, and trucks. And some of that is true, but there are so many different kinds of artists influenced by everything - R&B, pop, rock," Underwood explains.

"Trucks though? Trucks will always have a place in country music," she said. "Come on."
