Miranda Lambert: Grateful for Mom

Cheetos and Cheez-Its, Oh My

After touring, touring and more touring, Miranda Lambert was finally able to make it home to Texas to be with family for Thanksgiving.

And what a welcome she got.

There was a Mason jar full of fresh flowers, a handwritten note from her mom, a few bottles of very nice Wilson Creek red wine and a basket with an assortment of the kinds of food – Cheeto, Lay’s potato chips and Cheez-Its — Lambert had almost sworn off when she lost all that weight a couple of years ago.

But it was a holiday. And she was home. So God love her for having a mom who lets her indulge a little bit, and God love Lambert for tweeting about it.

Lambert will get some well-deserved time off from the road before she heads to London, Dublin and Glasgow in March.

Alison makes her living loving country music. She's based in Chicago, but she's always leaving her heart in Nashville.
