Little Big Town Bringing Dancers to 2016 CMT Music Awards

They're Also Bringing Along Pharrell Williams for Wednesday Night's Performance

If you and Pharrell Williams are providing a "fun, dance moment" at an awards show, it's probably a good idea to bring along some dancers. At least that's what Little Big Town will be doing when the 2016 CMT Music Awards airs live Wednesday night (June 8) at 8 p.m. ET from Nashville.

Karen Fairchild, Jimi Westbrook, Kimberly Schlapman and Phillip Sweet have been working with Williams for the group's next album, Wanderlust.

"Jimi's been learning from Luke Bryan all summer on tour, so this is our best possible Thomas Rhett and Luke Bryan impersonation," Fairchild joked about what fans can expect during their performance of a song featured on the upcoming album.

"It's one of the early things we wrote with Pharrell," Sweet said. "We're doing it because it feels great. It feels like it's got a great pulse and beat and energy."

"It's like a big party here," Fairchild said about the atmosphere at the CMT Music Awards. "It's a get-the-crowd going, fun, dance moment. And we have, for the first time in the history of Little Big Town, dancers behind us. And they are so good."

Band members have nothing but good things to say about their new collaborator.

"We had such a great experience with Pharrell making this record and getting to know him and hanging out," Westbrook said. "He's such a good guy and so creative, positive and uplifting. … I'm so excited we talked him into coming and hanging out with him here in Nashville.

"It wasn't too hard, either. He was ready."
