Melissa Etheridge's Nashville Night Out

Watch Oscar and Grammy Winner Crash Whiskey Jam Showcase

If you know anything about the Nashville music scene, you know there's never a loss of live music choices on any given night.

On Monday (March 20), Melissa Etheridge, Cam, Sonia Leigh and alternative artist Troi Irons had their pick of the litter of local showcases to crash.

The Bluebird hosts a weekly open mic night, while Mercy Lounge has a Eight Off Eighth showcase. The Time Jumpers live at 3rd and Lindsley and the music on Lower Broadway are always fire.

But the four artists chose Winners Bar and Grill's Whiskey Jam -- an evening of music from some of Nashville's best and brightest writers and artists, from the undiscovered, hidden gems of Music Row to the names you know and love.

Anything and anyone for that matter can happen at Whiskey Jam -- cue Monday night's impromptu performance by Etheridge, who was in town for an appearance on the webcast Skyville Live with Cam, Irons, Lindsay Ell and Orianthi.

The party was on when the Oscar and Grammy winner hopped up onstage at Winners and started playing her monster hit "I'm the Only One" with her powerhouse pals Leigh and Cam helping out on vocals.

Y'all, this is what we officially call a "Nashville moment," a magical turn of events that produces an unbelievable musical memory, one you kick yourself over if you were actually in town, but still managed to miss.

Check out the video below, and maybe clear your schedule for next Monday night in Nashville. You have plans.
