Mary Chapin Carpenter Finishing CD

A mainstay on the country charts in the 1990s, Mary Chapin Carpenter is in Nashville this week finishing a new album, Between Here and Gone, due March 23. She is co-producing the album with Matt Rollings. In addition to co-producing Keith Urban's debut album, Rollings played piano on many of Carpenter's biggest hits, including "He Thinks He'll Keep Her," "The Hard Way" and "Passionate Kisses." Carpenter wrote or co-wrote all the songs on Between Here and Gone, her first studio album without production assistance from longtime collaborator John Jennings. Carpenter wrapped a songwriters' tour with Shawn Colvin, Patty Griffin and Dar Williams in November.
