The Ralph Stanley Museum and Traditional Mountain Music Center will celebrate its grand opening on Oct. 16 in Clintwood, Va. The $1.9 million museum is housed in a Victorian mansion built in 1904 and was renovated with federal and state funds. "I have been blessed with many honors in my lifetime, but having my own museum is one of the greatest honors I've received," said Stanley, who will attend the opening. "I am proud that my work and this wonderful music will be here for future generations to enjoy."
