OFFSTAGE: Miranda Lambert's Love/Hate Relationship With Grammys

(CMT Offstage keeps a 24/7 watch on everything that's happening with country music artists behind the scenes and out of the spotlight.)

If you are one of Miranda Lambert's 648,000 Twitter followers, you know she is as open and honest in her tweets as she is in her music and in her real life. So it was fascinating to listen to her go from "LA... the country has arrived :)" to "Not cool that we act like that didn't happen. He [Chris Brown] needs to listen to Gunpowder and lead and be put back in his place. Not at the Grammys." Her play-by-play might have been more entertaining than the real thing. It sounds like her take on the show was all good, with the exception of maybe the performances by Chris Brown's and Nicki Minaj. More than anything, Lambert was thrilled to be making a new friend: Lady Gaga. "Y'all. I have a new friend! @ladygaga from NYC and a Texas girl. Who knew! She is really sweet! The odd couple ... well not really!" and then, "She likes to cook and as of tonight is a fan of the randarita! :) (Bacardi and crystal light)." She also admitted to being obsessed with Adele, and loved a few others: "Now ... Bruno Mars ... yes please! That rocked and also Adele ... duh! And Jennifer Hudson! That's real music. kinda made up for all the suck." It was actually after the show when Lambert finally had a chance to watch the whole thing and sum it up with this tweet: "Just got to watch some of the Grammy's. Love how much country music was represented. Makes me proud!"
