'Maxim' Injects New Blood With Kacey Musgraves

What I love about the latest Maxim Hot 100 list is that they've finally added a new, fresh country face with the inclusion of Kacey Musgraves.

It's not like a huge shocker that a handful of country singers made the Hot 100 list. Every year, the men's magazine seems to pick the same sexy beauties over and over. And I get that. Sexy kind of sticks around. So if you're gorgeous enough to make the list once, you're probably going to be worthy of inclusion for a while. At least until you're pushed past the No. 100 mark by new, fresh faces.

Musgraves comes in at No. 70.

"This Southern belle sang her way into our hearts on the fifth season of Nashville Star," according to Maxim. "Now she's got her own solo album and has been nominated for numerous Grammy Awards. We'd let her sing us to sleep, that's for sure."

I'm not sure when they compile these lists or write these captions, but Musgraves actually did win two of those Grammys this year for best country album and best country song.

It's just kind of heartwarming to see that other people outside the country bubble are noticing our newcomers and all that they have done and all that makes them beautiful.

Carrie Underwood is also on the list, again, at No. 56. They call her a "country singer/songwriter/total hottie."

And Kellie Pickler, a clear Maxim favorite since she's made the list three years in a row, was No. 46 because she is "one of the few American Idol contestants to stay on the country's mind."

And at No. 25 is another favorite, Miley Cyrus, who has been on the list every year since 2011

"We still can't believe that she's related to the man who coined 'Achy Breaky Heart,'" Maxim quips.

"Achy Breaky Heart" was actually written by Don Van Tress.
