Forget the bars, the clubs and the bustling downtown scene. The new place to hang? That would be the home of Jason Aldean and Brittany Kerr.

“We’re very much ‘people’ people,” Kerr admitted to me a few weeks ago on the red carpet at the 2014 CMT Artists of the Year celebration. “We love having people at the house. … We’re rarely alone.”

Who knew the seemingly stoic Aldean was such a social butterfly? Or such a great host?

With the holidays winding down, there’s no doubt Aldean has enjoyed ample opportunity to have friends and family gather and enjoy some good quality time. A little rest and relaxation is just what he needs before launching his tour in 2015. And it looks like he’s going to get just that.

“We’ll have a couple of months off before really the tour kicks off -- and next year, the wedding, whenever that is,” Aldean said as he stood beside his beaming fiancee.

Time off, yes. But peace and quiet? Well, maybe not. Aldean confesses he and Kerr can only take so much of that.

“Well our thing is, we’re at home by ourselves for a couple of days, and we’ll kind of look at each other like, ‘Hey, let’s call so-and-so and see if they want to come over and hang out,’” he admitted.

And Kerr agreed, adding, “Yeah, ‘Let’s watch football.’ … We want to have people around all the time.”
