Dailey & Vincent Inducted as Grand Ole Opry Members

Ceremonies Hosted by Opry Members Jeannie Seely and Old Crow Medicine Show

Dailey & Vincent can now add "Grand Ole Opry members" to their resume after formal induction ceremonies Saturday night (March 11) in Nashville.

In December, Opry veteran Marty Stuart invited the duo of Jamie Dailey and Darrin Vincent to join the cast during their 100th appearance on the long-running radio show.

"I had the honor of introducing Dailey & Vincent for their first Opry appearance," Opry member Jeannie Seely said Saturday while inducting Dailey. "I thought to myself that night, 'I hope I get to see them become members of the Opry one day because they epitomize everything the Opry is onstage and off.'"

In inducting Vincent, Old Crow Medicine Show member Ketch Secor noted, "They honor the traditions and respect their elders, but most of all they entertain. Tonight they join the ranks of country music's greatest entertainers."

Five-time Grammy award winners individually, three-time Grammy award nominees collectively Dailey & Vincent and their band have won 35 awards from the International Bluegrass Music Association.

The duo closed their Opry segment with "I'll Go to My Grave Loving You," a hit by one of their musical heroes, the Statler Brothers.
