Faith Hill: The Beauty of Spreading Happiness

Taking Care of Self and Soul

As Faith Hill is preparing to perform at the 2017 Academy of Country Music Awards, I am obsessing over the recent photo she shared from the '90s, holding the ACM Award she'd just won.

Because Hill, who will turn 50 later this year, looks almost exactly the same now as she did then. Even though she says in a video for New Beauty magazine, "Yes, we all age."

She adds, "And it's OK to have wrinkles, and it's OK to show that age."

She says that beauty comes from within, and so what you put into your body is very important.

"Look, I'm a product whore. I've tried everything and I love trying everything. But the truth is, it does start with you put into your body. I love junk food. I really could eat a bag of potato chips every single day. I'm not talking a snack bag, but a bag. I will eat the entire bag," she admits, adding that chips aside, she does try to take care of herself and her soul.

On the outside, Hill's style now is one that is just comfortable. A lot of dark colors, a lot of old jeans and a little bit of mascara and concealer.

And when she does absolutely no glam, that's the look her husband Tim McGraw likes best.

"The look my husband specifically loves on me is no makeup and crazy, frizzy, curly hair. He's always like, 'Just wear it down. That's my favorite,'" she says.

Her best beauty secret, by far, is joy.

"I believe that beauty comes from within. I swear by the fact that if you are happy and you spread that happiness, your cheeks will be rosy, your smile will be bigger, your eyes will be brighter.

"No matter what stage of life you're in," she says.
