Jana Kramer is newly engaged after receiving a ring from football player Michael Caussin at her birthday party on Tuesday (Dec. 2).

“It was a beautiful surprise,” said Kramer. “He was the perfect gentleman. Nervous, on one knee, and surrounded by some of the people that love us the most.”

Although she hasn’t posted anything about the engagement at press time, Kramer posted several photos with Caussin to her Instagram account in recent months.

Caussin played tight end at James Madison University and four years in the NFL. He is currently a free agent. Kramer enjoyed a Top 10 hit in 2012 with “Why Ya Wanna” and is preparing an album to be released next year. Her new single is appropriately titled “Love.”
