Kenny Chesney Gives Life Through Big Revival Tour

Fans Register to Become Bone Marrow Donors in Fight Against Blood Cancer

You can always count on Kenny Chesney to find a way to give back.

Throughout his 2015 Big Revival tour, he partnered with the Love Hope Strength Foundation’s Get on the List Campaign which allowed fans who attended his stadium shows to participate in a mobile drive to register bone marrow donors with a simple cheek swab test at each concert.

In cooperation with Delete Blood Cancer, those donors were entered into the national donor bank for possible matches.

The results were amazing: Chesney’s No Shoes Nation provided 25 potential matches for people fight life-threatening bone and blood cancers, an incredible feat because of the odds against finding random matches.

“This was something so hard to believe, given how easy and simple it is,” Chesney said in a recent statement. “I’m thrilled to hear 25 matches have already been found. Maybe we should call them the No Shoes, All Heart Nation.”

That would definitely be a fair title.

By the way, the Big Revival tour not only gave back in a big way, it was also the biggest country tour of the year, playing to more than 1.3 million fans.
