Luke Bryan Reveals New Dates, Announces End Of Las Vegas Residency

Luke Bryan has a new song "Southern and Slow" releasing Friday.

Luke Bryan said on Wednesday that it's curtains for his popular Las Vegas residency "Luke Bryan: VEGAS" at Resorts World Theatre in Las Vegas after the first of the year.

"I have truly enjoyed my time at Resorts World and offering my fans a unique way to see me perform live," Bryan said in a statement. "The technology at this theatre allows us to do a completely different show than our regular tour, which makes it a lot of fun for me, my team and the fans in the room."

The Georgia native debuted the show in February of 2022, telling People: "The thing for me is to keep it real authentic to what I have always been, but just use the technology behind me to really have moments where fans can be wowed."

Bryan had fog and flames, a flying catwalk, an 18-wheeler and even a beach to keep the crowd entertained, in addition to his natural charisma and more than a decade of hit songs.

Fans who haven't seen the show still have time to catch it. Bryan will be back in Las Vegas on December 29, 30 and 31, as well as on January 3, 5 and 6. Tickets for those shows go on sale Friday, Aug. 18, 2023, at 10 a.m. PST. Previously announced dates that are on sale now are August 30 and September 2, 3, 6, 8-9.

"When you're in the entertainment capital of the world, you don't wanna go up there and lay any eggs," Bryan told People. "I'm going to come out there and deliver the energy, deliver the entertainment. I think in Vegas, I've always been able to get away with really being myself, being free, and reacting with the fans in the moment. In Vegas, you can get away with that a little more than some conservative country music markets across the country."

A year and a half into his residency, the "Country On" singer said he's more savvy than he was about Sin City crowds the first time he stepped on stage.

"I think there's a big percentage of the crowd that are just coming to see what a country show is like," he told People. "And the beauty of Vegas is, if I want to spend 20 minutes playing songs on piano, there's 5,000 people in a theater. I've really enjoyed being able to showcase the ability to tell jokes and go off the cuff a little bit."

Bryan had his first hit with "All My Friends Say" in 2007 – but his first chart-topper didn't come as an artist until "Do I" emerged three years later. Since then, Bryan's hits have included "Crash My Party," "Rollercoaster," "That's My Kind Of Night," "Drink A Beer," "Strip It Down" and "One Margarita." Even with that kind of success under his belt, Bryan used to feel like he had to prove himself. But he doesn't anymore.

"It's really liberating and gratifying to just go, 'I am what I am,'" Bryan told People. "I earned it the old-fashioned way: working my butt off. A lot of people have propped me up and helped me along the way, and I hope they can enjoy the ride, too."
