LISTEN: Restless Road Wants To Become Better Men In Vulnerable Track “On My Way"

Restless Road: “We wrote this song because we got tired of being so hard on ourselves.”

Country music trio Restless Road realized that there’s always room for improvement.

The fast-rising band, comprised of  Zach Beeken, Garret Nichols, and Colton Pack – turned to social media Monday to tout their most vulnerable track to date, “On My Way.”  The snippet displays their signature harmonies.

Although the promising musicians are best known for their upbeat bangers like “Bar Friends,” “Hometown Tonight,” and “Highlights,” they took it down a notch for their upcoming single. Throughout the unreleased track, Restless Road rattles off ways that they can become better men in the new year. The reflective lyrics are destined to cut deep and encourage listeners to think about their own actions or character.

“We wrote this song as a reminder that it’s OK to not be a perfect person,” wrote the band within the video.

Their crystal clear vocals are accompanied by an acoustic guitar-driven melody, that has the power to pull listeners in. Although Restless Road secured their place within the country music scene with their mesmerizing sound, they proved with “On My Way” that they are also gifted songwriters with storytelling souls.

“Sometimes I’m late, sometimes I cuss | Sometimes I hold on too long to a grudge | Have a few habits that I need to break | I ain’t there yet…but I’m on my way,” sings Nichols. “I’ve stayed the night on the wrong side of town | I’ve broken some hearts and I’ve let people down | I wish I could keep every promise I make, I ain’t there yet…but I’m on my way,” added Beeken.

The eye-opening ballad has already received positive praise. In less than 24 hours, the teaser clip raked in 33.9K views on TikTok alone, and many fans have dubbed it their “best song” yet.

“I absolutely love your voices. The song is authentic & relatable,” gushed a follower. “This is beautiful and needs to be heard by everyone,” said a fan. “Great work, fellas. Continue to evolve,” added Lady A’s Charles Kelley

Restless Road has yet to confirm when “On My Way” will be available to the public. When fans listen to the potential hit for the first time, they hope they recognize that complex feelings are valid and that they are not alone.

“If you ever feel like this, just know you’re not alone!!!” stressed the Nashville-based band. “We wrote this song because we got tired of being so hard on ourselves. It’s ok to not have it all figured out. One step at a time.”

The men tested the track out in late August at the Grand Ole Opry. While standing in the sacred circle, they explained that they wrote the lyrics in the midst of the global pandemic.

“Times were tough. It gave a lot of us a chance to kind of reflect. We were alone with our thoughts for a little bit,” shared Beeken. “Just something about us y’all, we always strive to be the best people that we can be. The best sons, brothers, and Colton’s a husband. Just trying to be the best in our career. It’s ok to be a work in progress,” he added before bringing the house to tears.

“One My Way” will follow their free-spirit single “Sundown Somewhere” and chart-climbing track “Growing Old With You.” Before Restless Road embarks on Kane Brown’s international tour, they are slated to appear at Nashville’s mother church – The Ryman Auditorium.
