Chris Lane And Wife Lauren Welcome Baby No.2: “Life Just Got 8 Pounds Sweeter”

The country couple’s baby boy arrived on Sunday, Oct.16, in Nashville.

The Lane family just got bigger.

Chris Lane and his wife, Lauren Bushnell welcomed their second child on Sunday, Oct. 16 in Nashville, Tennessee. The “Bachelor” alum and country hitmaker jumped on social media Tuesday (Oct. 18) evening to share the exciting news with a heartwarming video and hospital photos.

The precious clip documented their 16-month-old son Dutton meeting his little brother for the first time. Dutton sported a navy blue shirt that read “big bro,” as his dad escorted him into the delivery room. Bushnell was resting in the hospital bed, cradling the newborn.

“There she is. Look at your brother,” Lane pointed out. “Mama missed you, bud! Do you want to see the baby?” asked the mother of two.

Dutton instantly began to giggle once he laid eyes on his baby brother. Lane gently placed the toddler beside his mother to get a closer look. With tears of joy swelling in their eyes, the parents embraced the once-in-a-lifetime moment.

The 32-year-old captioned the sentimental video that was filmed by her father, “10.16.22.”

The “Ain’t Even Met You Yet” singer took to his personal account to share the same video and a family portrait.

“Life just got 8 Pounds Sweeter! Family of 4 now!!” he wrote in the caption.

Members of the country community ran to the comments to congratulate the happy couple.

“Woohoo!! Congrats!” said Randy Houser. “Love you guys man, congratulations you two❤️ 🙌🏻,” gushed Jack Arnold. “Soooo happy that sweet boy is here,” added Brett Young’s wife, Taylor Mills

According to PEOPLE, Bushnell underwent a c-section. The decision was made after her child failed to turn during her last weeks of pregnancy.

Weeks leading up to the birth, Lane and Bushnell announced the sex of their unborn child with a baseball-themed reveal. The platinum-selling artist threw on an Atlanta Braves jersey and hit a baseball that exploded into blue powder.

The platinum-selling artist previously told CMT that becoming a father has become a blessing and changed his perspective on life.

“I never wanted kids. I never wanted to get married. I was always that guy, and it took me meeting somebody that changed my whole perspective on everything and made me feel like I had never felt before,” Lane exclusively revealed. “I truly feel like I am living my best life right now. I’m so happy to have a little family.”
