Mindy McCready Selected for 'Celebrity Rehab With Dr. Drew'

Mindy McCready has been selected as a cast member for the new season of the VH1 reality series, Celebrity Rehab With Dr. Drew. Hosted by Dr. Drew Pinsky, the season will consist of eight episodes that follow the real-life experiences of celebrity patients undergoing detoxification and treatment at the Pasadena Recovery Center. Joining McCready are actress Mackenzie Phillips (One Day at a Time), former Hollywood Madame Heidi Fleiss, NBA great Dennis Rodman, Lisa D'Amato (America's Next Top Model), former Alice in Chains bassist Mike Starr, former Miss United States Teen Kari Ann Peniche and Joey Kovar (Real World Hollywood). McCready, who scored a No. 1 country hit in 1996 with "Ten Thousand Angels," was arrested in 2004 for fraudulently procuring a prescription painkiller. In 2005, she was charged with driving under the influence but convicted only of driving with a suspended license. The new season of Celebrity Rehab With Dr. Drew is scheduled to premiere in early 2010.
