Mickey Guyton Talks Michael Bolton Duet, Will Host National Christmas Tree Lighting

Mickey Guyton: "I just got a call saying Michael Bolton wants to do a Christmas song with you, and I was like, 'Yeah.' It's Michael freaking Bolton. That's the quote."

Mickey Guyton isn't just decorating the Christmas tree at her house this year – she's decking the halls at the White House.

Guyton will host the National Christmas Tree Lighting, a CBS special that will air Friday, Dec. 15 (8:00–9:00 p.m., ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network and be available to stream live on Paramount+ (live and on-demand for Paramount+ with SHOWTIME subscribers, or on demand for Paramount+ Essential subscribers the day after the special airs)*.

The event is presented by the National Park Service and the National Park Foundation and will also feature performances by Guyton, Darren Criss, Samara Joy, Ledisi, Reneé Rapp, St. Vincent, Joe Walsh and Dionne Warwick.

But before she heads to Washington D.C., Guyton and her new duet partner Michael Bolton are going to Disney World. The pair share a new song, "Christmas Isn't Christmas," and will perform it at 8 p.m. Nov. 26 at "The Wonderful World of Disney: Magical Holiday Celebration," which will stream on @Hulu and @DisneyPlus the next day.

"It's freaking Michael Bolton," Guyton said backstage at CMT's "Smashing Glass" event. "He's one of the most iconic people. I have no idea how it happened. I just got a call saying Michael Bolton wants to do a Christmas song with you, and I was like, 'Yeah.' It's Michael freaking Bolton. That's the quote."

Guyton said she's been a longtime fan of Bolton, who has "one of the most iconic voices of our lifetime."

"It's just a fun freaking song, Christmas isn't Christmas without you," she said. "It's just a fun, catchy Christmas song."

"Christmas Isn't Christmas" is out now.
