Don’t do it was Karen Parker’s advice to her daughter Jessie James Decker.

Parker said on the Got It from My Momma podcast, hosted by Jennifer Vickery Smith, that she knew what her daughter was going to think about her now husband, Eric Decker, as soon as she saw him.

"So they're both Googling each other and they decide to meet in Nashville,” Parker told Smith. “What's really funny (is), on that particular weekend I was leaving when Eric was coming in. So we cross each other in the airport and I met him, he was very sweet."

Smith suggested that Decker thought that if the country singer was anything like her mom, it was “going to go well.”

"That's what he said,” Parker added. “So he was excited, like, 'I know what she's gonna look like one day.’"

Then Parker revealed she texted her daughter and told her to take it slow.

"I said, 'Jessica, I know you're gonna want to sleep with this guy.' I go, 'But don't do it!'" she said. "'He is so beautiful, but you just met.'"

While Parker’s text to her daughter may seem forward, she told Smith they speak to each other that way all the time.

Ultimately, Parker said, that her daughter and Decker “had a great weekend together.”

“She cooked for him, that's another piece of advice that I always say,” Parker said. “The way to a man's heart is through his stomach.”

Whatever Jessie James Decker did that weekend worked. She and Eric Decker have been married for nine years and share three children. His Instagram is flooded with pictures of their family. The former football player recently shared a video from their family vacation to a tropical location. He’s has footage of himself throwing a football with their son and no shortage of pictures of his wife in everything from evening dresses to swimwear.

Decker posted a tribute to his wife on their anniversary.

“Happy Anniversary Mi Amor❤️ I love this life with you!” he wrote. “So many adventures and beautiful memories we have created together. You have stood by my side through the good and the bad. You are my lover, best friend and soulmate! 9 years down and a lifetime to go 🥰😜Cheers to us 🥂”
