Cowboy country singer Cody Johnson is taking the country music bull by the horns with his duo of announcements.
On Friday, Johnson revealed plans to release "Leather," his third COJO Music / Warner Music Nashville studio album and the follow-up to 2019's "Ain't Nothin' To It" studio album and 2021's "Human The Double Album," on Nov. 3.
Trent Willmon produced the 12-song album, which is available for preorder now.
"This round of songs, I have to say, is the best round of songs I have ever recorded, and I feel like that's the way it should be," Johnson said in a statement. "Each album should outdo the last one."
Johnson released two new songs from "Leather," "Work Boots" written by Jason Afable, Brett Beavers, and Canaan Smith and "Watching My Old Flame Go Out" by Kat Higgins, Wynn Varble, and Clint Daniels.
Johnson announced "The Leather Tour" on Monday. The proud Texan will launch the first leg of his 2024 tour on Jan. 19. The first run of shows includes Nashville's Bridgestone Arena, marking the first time Johnson has headlined Music City's largest indoor venue.
Special guests during the first leg include Justin Moore, Dillon Carmichael and Chris Janson.
