Brad Paisley, BR549 and Riders in the Sky are headed to Kumamoto, Japan, for the 15th annual Country Gold Festival hosted by Japanese country music promoter and entertainer Charlie Nagatani. The Oct. 19 event, which also features Ricochet and the Stevens Sisters, takes place at the base of scenic Mount Aso, an active volcano. Paisley was in Los Angeles last week to tape an episode of the NBC-TV series, American Dreams. Portraying '60s teen idol Ricky Nelson, Paisley performs "Dream Lover," a hit for both Nelson and Bobby Darin. The episode airs Dec. 7. 10/14/03
