Newcomers Include Hailey Steele, Jillian Jacqueline, CJ Solar Jordyn Mallory, Royal Bliss

Check out videos from the newest talent unveiled through the CMT Artist Discovery initiative.

Hailey Steele, “Where I Thought I’d Be”

South Dakota native Hailey Steele is a ushering in a new era of honest and earnest women in country music. In her powerful and poignant single, The Voice alum talks about the roller coaster ride of chasing your dreams in the music business. She does so with a rare wisdom and beautiful peacefulness. It’s an emotive song and performance that will resonate no matter who you are or where you are in life.

Jillian Jacqueline, “Prime”

Jillian Jacqueline’s effervescent single “Prime” might encourage you to quit your job and hope a plane to Paris. The positively addictive tune not only reminds us all to live big while we’re young but also why we should always be young at heart. The singer-songwriter has written and worked with the likes of Vince Gill, Kenny Rogers and Richard Marx, to name a few.

CJ Solar, “Tall Boy”

It’s the hardest thing in the world to do -- stand tall after having your heart broken. CJ Solar has a solution for this dilemma: Order up a “tall boy” to make you stand tall, boy. In his debut single, the soulful Louisiana native -- who has opened shows for the Cadillac Three, Tyler Farr and the Randy Rogers band -- sings about that liquid courage you sometimes need to get through a hard time.

Jordyn Mallory, “Boat Friend”

Sorry, guys. Newcomer Jordyn Mallory isn’t looking for a boyfriend. She’s thinking about a “boat friend.” In her flirty new video, Mallory sings about keeping things light for the summer and finding that coveted catch -- the boy with a boat. The former American Idol hopeful has opened concerts for Jake Owen, Eric Church and even Loretta Lynn.

Royal Bliss, “Livin’ the Dream”

Described as “heartland rockers” from Utah, the band shines in their video for “Livin’ the Dream,” a song about hustling to pursue your musical passion while working that 9 to 5. With lines like “If Monday’s the Devil, then Friday is Jesus/At 5 o’clock we all get saved,” it’s hard not to fall in love with their down-to-earth, tongue-in-cheek wit and talent. Their brand new EP The Truth comes out June 3.
