Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani, Ashley McBryde, O.N.E The Duo Talk "A Tribute To The Judds"

"A Tribute To The Judds" is a multi-artist tribute record in celebration of The Judds' 40th anniversary. The album is out now.

Christmas came early for Judds fans on Friday when artists including Blake Shelton, Dolly Parton, Lainey Wilson, Reba McEntire and Jelly Roll teamed to collaborate on "A Tribute to The Judds," an all-star compilation of the duo's biggest hits to celebrate The Judds' 40th anniversary.

"A Tribute to The Judds" is out now.

"The Judds are one of the greatest country acts of our lifetime," said Shelton, who covers "Love Is Alive" with wife Gwen Stefani, in a statement. "'80s country music is my favorite decade, and I've been singing Judd songs for as long as I can remember."

Shelton said "Love Is Alive" is from The Judds' first album, and he and Stefani wanted to "stick pretty close to the original version."

"Gwen just nails the vocal," he said. "We're thrilled to be part of this tribute album."

Stefani said in a statement she had always admired The Judds and that she is "so thrilled" to be a part of the project."

"'Love Is Alive' is an iconic track and performing the song with Blake is a perfect way to honor their timeless discography," he said.

Ashley McBryde teamed with Shelly Fairchild for "Rockin' With The Rhythm of the Rain" after playing multiple tour dates with Wynonna in recent months.

"There are people you meet in our magical industry… there are people you’ll tour with, people you’ll learn from, people you’ll admire… and once in a lifetime there are friendships forged that change your whole life," McBryde said on Instagram. "It is my absolute honor to pay tribute to the most iconic duo of all time. The Judds are such a vital part of country music. Singing with Miss @shellyfairchild is always a treasure.

"Wy, thank you for having us on this project. Thank you for trusting us with this song. And thank you for your friendship."

Mother-daughter duo O.N.E The Duo teamed with "The Voice" alum Wendy Moten for "Had A Dream (For The Heart)," the first single The Judds released.

"The recording experience was special because we got to record with Wendy Moton all together on the same day," said O.N.E The Duo's Tekitha.

"Wendy is so funny," Prana Supreme added. "She's family to us."

Brent Maher, who worked with The Judds and O.N.E The Duo, produced the track.

"It's just crazy that it would end up being him that we'd work with," Tekitha said. "And now here we are being on the tribute album. The whole experience was just so easy, and so it felt right. And I think when things are easy, that means you're supposed to be doing it. So it was a great experience."

Other artists on the album include: Wynonna Judd; Ashley McBryde; Barnett, Lynne, and West; Carl Perkins; Carly Pearce; Cody Johnson; Ella Langley; Gabby Barrett; Jamey Johnson; Jennifer Nettles; LeAnn Rimes, Megan Moroney, Molly Tuttle, Raul Malo, Rob Ickes, Shelly Fairchild, Sonya Isaacs, The Fisk Jubilee Singers, Trey Hensley and Trisha Yearwood.

All of the songs on "A Tribute To The Judds" were developed by Maher, the duo's original producer and six-time Grammy award winner, Brent Maher – other than "Cry Myself to Sleep," which was produced by Cactus Moser.

In honor of Naomi Judd, A Tribute to The Judds has also partnered with the National Alliance of Mental Illness Tennessee. For more information on NAMI, please visit: NAMITN.org.
