CMT’s Cody Alan is adding SiriusXM to his resume.

SiriusXM announced Friday that Alan will join The Highway, hosting the new morning show.

"Highway Mornings with Cody Alan & Macie Banks" will launch Monday and will air weekdays from 5 a.m. – 12 p.m. ET on SiriusXM’s The Highway in their cars on channel 56 or anywhere they go with the SXM App.

The show will include the latest in country music, pop culture, entertainment, conversations with celebrity guests, listener calls, and sharing their personal stories. The new host team will bring a fresh and fun perspective to the airwaves.

Alan will continue to host CMT’s Flagship weekly music show, "Hot 20 Countdown" on television.

SiriusXM’s The Highway plays contemporary country music by artists including Kelsea Ballerini, Morgan Wallen, Carly Pearce, Luke Combs and Thomas Rhett in addition to the next generation of country superstars.

Alan was born in Columbia, South Carolina and has been on the radio since he was 15 years old. He built a reputation as a well-respected radio host over the years. He has won multiple awards, including being named 2021 National On-Air Personality of the Year by the Country Music Association and Academy of Country Music’s Personality of the Year twice. He was a nine-time recipient of the Country Music Director of the Year award while he worked in Dallas, Texas.

In 2017, Alan made national headlines by coming out as gay, and he partners with GLAAD to host the annual Concert for Love and Acceptance. He received the 2022 Visibility Award from the Human Rights Campaign for his efforts leading in the LGBTQ+ community.

Alan released his memoir “Hear’s The Thing” in 2021, which features many of his on air adventures, his coming out story, and the lessons learned by genuinely listening.

He is a father of two who and enjoys spending time with his partner and family.
