The retail chain Media Play has announced that it will close all of its stores at the end of January after 13 years in business. The chain -- which sells music as well as books, movies, software, toys and video games -- has 61 stores in 18 states, with approximately 2,000 employees across the company. The store's parent company, Musicland Group Inc., will continue to operate its Sam Goody and Suncoast Motion Picture Company locations.
