CBS Reveals "NEW YEAR’S EVE LIVE: NASHVILLE’S BIG BASH" with Thomas Rhett, Lainey Wilson and More

The five-hour New Year's Eve special will air Sunday, Dec. 31 (7:30-10:00 PM, ET/PT, 10:30 PM-1:05 AM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network and will be available to stream on Paramount+.

Music City is making "NEW YEAR’S EVE LIVE: NASHVILLE’S BIG BASH" a holiday tradition.

CBS revealed plans on Monday to combine country music’s biggest stars – including Thomas Rhett and Lainey Wilson – with New Year’s Eve and the festive ambiance of downtown Nashville yet again for one of the holiday’s biggest parties.

The five-hour event will feature live, enthusiastic performances from artists including Rhett, Wilson, Lynyrd Skynyrd and more. It will air live Sunday, Dec. 31 (7:30-10:00 PM, ET/PT, 10:30 PM-1:05 AM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network and on Paramount+.

 “Building on what we have established over the last two years by focusing on our artists, the fans and the vibrancy of downtown Nashville, this year’s lineup is shaping up to be our most exciting yet,” said executive producer Robert Deaton. “We will celebrate 50 years of the iconic southern rock band Lynyrd Skynyrd, the skyrocketing Lainey Wilson and country music superstar Thomas Rhett, with over a dozen artists and special guests still to be announced.”

Deaton said Nashville is quickly becoming one of the most popular destinations to spend New Year’s Eve and that he is honored CBS wants to continue to showcase the tone and its music in a new multi-year television deal.

The annual event will feature close to 50 entertainers from various locations across the city, including the mainstage in Nashville’s Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park. Past performers include Kelsea Ballerini, Dierks Bentley, Brooks & Dunn, Luke Bryan, Sheryl Crow, Miranda Lambert, King Calaway and more.

"NEW YEAR’S EVE LIVE: NASHVILLE’S BIG BASH" will broadcast across multiple time zones, with the traditional countdown at midnight ET on CBS. The evening will culminate with the renowned Nashville music note drop and fireworks at midnight CT.

Additional information about this year’s lineup of star-studded performers and hosts will be announced in the coming weeks.
