Granger Smith’s final eight shows of the year have been canceled following Friday’s (Dec. 2) stage fall at Sayreville, New Jersey’s Starland Ballroom.
He is currently back home in Texas recovering from the accident that left him with two completely separated, broken ribs and a punctured and partially collapsed lung.
Smith completed Friday’s concert and was transferred to the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, New Jersey after visiting an emergency room immediately after the show.
"I truly appreciate all the doctors and nurses at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital," Smith said in a release. "Their resolve and professionalism were reassuring during a pretty rough few days for me."
Smith added he fully intends to make it up to his fans. “I've had so many e-mails and tweets,” he said. “It's pretty amazing that so many people have reached out from across the country. I feel so blessed to have more than just support for my music from fans and radio. It's deeply humbling to have fans that personally care so much."
