OFFSTAGE: Kip Moore Weighs In on 'Nashville' Drama

(CMT Offstage keeps a 24/7 watch on everything that's happening with country music artists behind the scenes and out of the spotlight.)

There is some drama in Nashville, that much I know for sure, but maybe not quite as much as there is in Nashville, the TV series. At least that's the way Kip Moore sees it. He makes an appearance in Wednesday's (Feb. 27) episode of the series at Deacon's birthday party at the Bluebird Cafe. But Moore's not so sure the show is really real. "Is it exactly the way Nashville is? Not 100 percent, by any means, but it's TV. They've got to put the drama in, and you've got to do something entertaining for people," he told CMT Radio. And he's right. It's a show kind of based on the entertainment business, so they are smart to highlight more of the entertainment and less of the business. "I think there are bits and pieces that are somewhat correct. I don't think it's portraying us in a bad light. It's entertainment," he says. "I don't think that everybody believes that's exactly how Nashville is, you know?"
