OFFSTAGE: How Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton Spend New Year's

(CMT Offstage keeps a 24/7 watch on everything that's happening with country music artists behind the scenes and out of the spotlight.)

If not for Twitter, we might not be able to get such a vivid glimpse into lifestyles of the rich and famous country stars we love. But not only can we rely on Twitter to tell us all the good stories, but on New Year's Eve, we also had Anne Vyalitsyna to give us the scoop. She is the girlfriend of Maroon 5's Adam Levine and was there in Oklahoma with him and Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton and Kelly Clarkson. She posted a playfully-posed picture of the group, saying "Best New Years ever!!!" And before that, a photo of a private jet with a tweet about "Oklahoma! Hello! Let's see whatcha you got for tonight!" It seems like maybe Lambert and Shelton (and Clarkson) were trying to spend as much time in Oklahoma as possible because the two ladies joined Shelton onstage on Friday (Dec. 30) during his Thackerville show to perform Joan Jett's "I Love Rock 'n' Roll." Ironically, the always-tweeting Shelton did not tweet much about his New Year's. But he did say this about that Thackerville show: "Caution: There will be a large gathering of obnoxious, completely wasted rednecks tonight in Thackerville, OK ... And THAT'S just the band!"
