Watch: Kelly Clarkson and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson Team for Loretta Lynn Duet

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson grew up coming to Nashville and wanted to be a singer.

A host of celebrities paid tribute to Loretta Lynn after she died earlier this month but new – and unexpected – duo performance just emerged.

Kelly Clarkson and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson recently did a duet of Lynn’s "Don't Come Home A-Drinkin' (With Lovin' on Your Mind)" on Clarkson’s “The Kelly Clarkson Show” daily Kellyoke segment.

Clarkson posted about the duet on Instagram.

“An extra special #Kellyoke duet with Dwayne @therock Johnson in memory of the late, great #LorettaLynn 💙,” she wrote.

The entertainers put a playful spin on the song and Clarkson even pushed the actor’s face away at one point when he leaned over while she was singing Lynn’s first No. 1 hit.

Clarkson interviewed Johnson about his relationship with Lynn’s music during another segment in the show.

"I love Loretta Lynn," Johnson said. "I loved her growing up, and I grew up on country music — traditional country music, like, three chords and the truth, twin fiddle, steel guitar kind of country music."

Johnson then revealed he lived in Tennessee and hung out in Nashville bars when he was 15 years old.

“I shouldn't have been doing, but I was already like 6'4", 220 (lbs) with a mustache," he said. "My dream was that I was gonna be a country singer."

Johnson said he had no money and walked the streets singing.

“(I was) hoping that someone will be like, 'Oh, what do you do? You should come and sing.' It didn't happen for me," he said.
